Supply Chain Support

Sourcing Is the Starting Point. What Happens Next Defines Your Risk.

In today's electronics supply chain, finding a part is only half the battle. The real challenge is knowing that what you received is authentic, electrically sound, and fit for your application — especially when sourcing from open market or secondary suppliers.

773 Group LLC's value-added services give procurement engineers and supply chain managers a higher level of confidence across every stage — from initial sourcing through authentication, testing, reconditioning, and inspection.

Whether you're supporting a commercial program or navigating a mil-spec adjacent application, our capabilities help you manage risk before it becomes a production problem.

"Counterfeit and non-conforming components are among the costliest risks in electronics procurement. The best time to catch them is before they reach your assembly line."

Five Service Areas. One Integrated Risk Strategy.

Shortage Mitigation & Global Sourcing

We help you navigate constrained markets, EOL transitions, and long lead times through proactive sourcing strategies and a vetted global supplier network.

  • Alternate part identification
  • Excess inventory sourcing
  • BOM risk analysis

Electrical Testing & Component Authentication

Reduce aftermarket risk with electrical testing and authentication aligned with industry screening practices, including JANTX-equivalent up-screening.

  • MIL-PRF-19500 equivalent screening
  • MIL-PRF-38534 equivalent screening
  • Component authentication

Component Solutions & Reconditioning

Our reconditioning and rework services extend component usability and improve assembly readiness — especially for complex package types like BGAs and CGAs.

  • BGA reballing & CGA attach
  • Robotic hot solder dip
  • Trim, form, and reconditioning

Inspection, Analysis & Qualification

Advanced inspection and analytical services validate internal construction, material composition, and structural integrity before components reach your build.

  • Acoustic microscopy (AM)
  • X-ray & XRF analysis
  • Fine and gross leak testing

Counterfeit Mitigation & Supply Chain Support

Protecting customers from counterfeit and non-conforming components is a core focus of our value-added services. We provide monitoring, structured programs, and managed inventory solutions to improve supply chain visibility and strengthen long-term resilience.

  • Counterfeit mitigation programs
  • BOM monitoring & reporting
  • Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI)

Industry-Aligned Screening. Real Component Confidence.

For programs requiring enhanced reliability, we offer discrete component up-screening to JANTX-equivalent levels and support programs aligned with MIL-PRF-19500 and MIL-PRF-38534 equivalent screening requirements.

These services primarily target commercial electronics programs, with select support for mil-spec adjacent applications where additional authentication and risk management are required.

MIL-PRF-19500

Class HC and KC equivalent up-screening for discrete semiconductors.

MIL-PRF-38534

Class H and K equivalent up-screening for hybrid microcircuits and related components.

JANTX-Equivalent Up-Screening

Enhanced electrical and environmental testing to meet JANTX-level reliability thresholds for commercial programs with elevated screening requirements.

1

Visual & Dimensional Inspection

Components inspected for physical anomalies, remarking, and dimensional conformance before proceeding to any further testing.

2

Advanced Analytical Testing

XRF, X-ray, and acoustic microscopy confirm material composition and internal structural integrity.

3

Electrical Performance Testing

Parametric and functional testing validates that components meet specified electrical performance thresholds for your application.

4

Documentation & Traceability

Full test reports and traceability documentation accompany every screened lot — ready for your quality records.

Built for Teams Where Component Failures Aren't an Option

Frequently Asked Questions

What are value-added services in electronic component distribution?
Value-added services go beyond simply locating and shipping components. They include additional processes like electrical testing, authentication, up-screening, inspection, reconditioning, and counterfeit mitigation — all designed to validate component integrity and reduce supply chain risk before parts reach your production line.
What is component up-screening?
Component up-screening is the process of applying additional electrical, environmental, and analytical testing to commercial or aftermarket components to meet enhanced reliability requirements. It is commonly used when standard commercial-grade parts need to perform at mil-spec or near-mil-spec reliability levels for specific applications.
Do you provide MIL-PRF equivalent screening?
Yes. 773 Group LLC provides discrete component up-screening to JANTX-equivalent levels, including support aligned with MIL-PRF-19500 (Class HC and KC equivalent) and MIL-PRF-38534 (Class H and K equivalent) screening levels for select commercial and defense-adjacent programs.
What is BGA reballing and when is it needed?
BGA (Ball Grid Array) reballing is the process of removing and replacing the solder balls on a BGA package — typically needed when converting lead-free components to leaded solder, restoring damaged or oxidized solder balls, or preparing components for specific assembly processes. It is one of several reconditioning services we offer alongside CGA attach, lead attach, and robotic hot solder dip.
How does acoustic microscopy help with component qualification?
Acoustic microscopy (AM) uses high-frequency ultrasound to image the internal structure of components without physical damage. It is particularly valuable for detecting delamination, voids, cracks, and moisture ingress in packages that cannot be identified by X-ray alone. Combined with X-ray and XRF analysis, it provides a comprehensive internal and material view of the component — a critical tool for qualification and counterfeit detection.
Do your value-added services support commercial programs?
Yes. Our value-added services primarily support commercial electronics programs. We offer selective support for mil-spec adjacent applications where enhanced screening, authentication, and supply chain risk mitigation are required — but our capabilities are not exclusively military-focused.
