The LM4995 does not require output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors, and therefore is ideally suited for mobile phone and other low voltage applications where minimal power consumption is a primary requirement. The LM4995 features a low-power consumption shutdown mode, which is achieved by driving the shutdown pin with logic low. Additionally, the LM4995 features an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism. The LM4995 contains advanced click and pop circuitry which eliminates noise which would otherwise occur during turn-on and turn-off transitions. The LM4995 is unity-gain stable and can be configured by external gain-setting resistors.

Texas InstrumentsJL198SGA from Texas Instruments is a JANS, Monolithic Sample and Hold Circuit - Sample & hold amplifiers. The LF198 is a monolithic sample-and-hold circuit which utilizes BI-FET technology to obtain ultra-high dc accuracy with fast acquisition of signal and low droop rate. Operating as a unity gain follower, dc gain accuracy is 0.002% typical and acquisition time is as low as 6 μs to 0.01%. A bipolar input stage is used to achieve low offset voltage and wide bandwidth. Input offset adjust is accomplished with a single pin, and does not degrade input offset drift. The wide bandwidth allows the LF198 to be included inside the feedback loop of 1 MHz op amps without having stability problems. Input impedance of 10 10 Ω allows high source impedances to be used without degrading accuracy. P-channel junction FET's are combined with bipolar devices in the output amplifier to give droop rates as low as 5 mV/min with a 1 μF hold capacitor. The JFET's have much lower noise than MOS devices used in previous designs and do not exhibit high temperature instabilities. The overall design ensures no feed-through from input to output in the hold mode, even for input signals equal to the supply voltages.

A low-power sleep mode is provided to achieve low quiescent current. The devices offer voltage monitoring and load diagnostics as well as protection features against over current and over temperature. Fault conditions are indicated on nFAULT pin. The devices are available in three variants - hardwired interface: HW (H) and two SPI variants: SPI(P) and SPI(S), with SPI (P) for externally supplied logic supply and SPI (S) for internally generated logic supply. The SPI variants offer more flexibility in device configuration and fault observability.

Texas InstrumentsMAX3318EIDBR from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 2.5-V dual channel 460kbps RS-232 line driver/receiver with +/-8-kV IEC-ESD protection - RS-232 transceivers. The MAX3318E is a dual-driver, dual-receiver, RS-232-compatible transceiver. The device features auto-power-down plus and enhanced electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection integrated into the chip. Driver output and receiver input are protected to ±15 kV using the IEC 61000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge method, ±8 kV using the IEC 61000-4-2 Contact Discharge method, and ±15 kV using the Human-Body Model (HBM). The device operates at a data rate of 460 kbps. The transceiver has a proprietary low-dropout driver output stage, enabling RS-232-compatible operation from a 2.25-V to 3-V supply with a dual charge pump. The charge pump requires only four 0.1-μF capacitors and features a logic-level output (READY) that asserts when the charge pump is regulating and the device is ready to begin transmitting. The MAX3318E achieves a 1-μA supply current using the auto-power-down feature. This device automatically enters a low-power power-down mode when the RS-232 cable is disconnected or the drivers of the connected peripherals are inactive for more than 30 s. The device turns on again when it senses a valid transition at any driver or receiver input. Auto power down saves power without changes to the existing BIOS or operating system. This device is available in two space-saving packages: 20-pin SSOP and 20-pin TSSOP. Flexible control options for power management are featured when the serial port and driver inputs are inactive. The auto-power-down plus feature functions when FORCEON is low and FORCEOFF is high. During this mode of operation, if the device does not sense valid signal transitions on all receiver and driver inputs for approximately 30 s, the built-in charge pump and drivers are powered down, reducing the supply current to 1 μA. By disconnecting the serial port or placing the peripheral drivers off, auto-power-down plus can be disabled when FORCEON and FORCEOFF are high. With auto-power-down plus enabled, the device activates automatically when a valid signal is applied to any receiver or driver input. INVALID is high (valid data) if any receiver input voltage is greater than 2.7 V or less than -2.7 V, or has been between -0.3 V and 0.3 V for less than 30 μs (typical number). INVALID is low (invalid data) if all receiver input voltage are between -0.3 V and 0.3 V for more than 30 μs (typical number).
