Texas InstrumentsSN74ABT623DBR from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit Octal Bus Transceivers With 3-State Outputs - General-purpose transceivers. The SN54ABT623A and SN74ABT623 bus transceivers are designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. The control-function implementation allows for maximum flexibility in timing. The SN54ABT623A and SN74ABT623 provide true data at their outputs. These devices allow data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus, depending on the logic levels at the output-enable (OEAB and OEBA) inputs. The output-enable inputs can be used to disable the device so that the buses are effectively isolated. The dual-enable configuration gives the transceivers the capability of storing data by simultaneously enabling OEAB and OEBA. Each output reinforces its input in this configuration. When both OEAB and OEBA are enabled and all other data sources to the two sets of bus lines are at high impedance, both sets of bus lines (16 total) remain at their last states. To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OEBA should be tied to V CC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver. OEAB should be tied to GND through a pulldown resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver. The SN54ABT623A is characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The SN74ABT623 is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C.

Texas InstrumentsCY74FCT16652ATPVCT from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 16-Bit Bus Transceivers and Registers with 3-State Outputs - General-purpose transceivers. These 16-bit, high-speed, low-power, registered transceivers that are organized as two independent 8-bit bus transceivers with three-state D-type registers and control circuitry arranged for multiplexed transmission of data directly from the input bus or from the internal storage registers. OEAB and OEBA control pins are provided to control the transceiver functions. SAB and SBA control pins are provided to select either real-time or stored data transfer. Data on the A or B data bus, or both, can be stored in the internal D flip-flops by LOW-to-HIGH transitions at the appropriate clock pins (CLKAB or CLKBA), regardless of the select or enable control pins. When SAB and SBA are in the real-time transfer mode, it is also possible to store data without using the internal D-type flip-flops by simultaneously enabling OEAB and OEBA. In this configuration, each output reinforces its input. Thus, when all other data sources to the two sets of bus lines are at high impedance, each set of bus lines will remain at its last state. This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using I off. The I off circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down. The CY74FCT16652T is ideally suited for driving high-capacitance loads and low-impedance backplanes. The CY74FCT162652T has 24-mA balanced output drivers with current-limiting resistors in the outputs. This reduces the need for external terminating resistors and provides for minimal undershoot and reduced ground bounce. The CY74FCT162652T is ideal for driving transmission lines.

Texas InstrumentsSN75C23243DLR from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 3- to 5.5-V multichannel 250kbps RS-232 line driver/receiver with +/-15-kV ESD protection - RS-232 transceivers. The SN65C23243 and SN75C23243 consist of two ports, each containing three line drivers and five line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit with ±15-kV ESD protection pin to pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND). These devices meet the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and provide the electrical interface between an asynchronous communication controller and the serial-port connector. This combination of drivers and receivers matches that needed for two typical serial ports used in an IBM PC/AT, or compatible. The charge pump and four small external capacitors allow operation from a single 3-V to 5.5-V supply. In addition, these devices include an always-active noninverting output (ROUT2) per port, which allows applications using the ring indicator to transmit data while the devices are powered down. The devices operate at data signaling rates up to 250 kbit/s, and a maximum of 30-V/µs driver output slew-rate. Flexible control options for power management are available when either or both serial ports are inactive. The auto-powerdown feature functions when FORCEON is low and FORCEOFF is high. During this mode of operation, if the device does not sense a valid RS-232 signal, the driver outputs of its respective port are disabled. If FORCEOFF is set low, both drivers and receivers (except ROUT2) are shut off, and the supply current is reduced to 1 µA. Disconnecting the serial port or turning off the peripheral drivers causes the auto-powerdown condition to occur. Auto-powerdown can be disabled when FORCEON and FORCEOFF are high, and should be done when driving a serial mouse. With auto-powerdown enabled, the RS-232 port is activated automatically when a valid signal is applied to any respective receiver input. The INV output is used to notify the user if an RS-232 signal is present at any receiver input. INV is high (valid data) if any receiver input voltage is greater than 2.7 V or less than -2.7 V or has been between -0.3 V and 0.3 V for less than 30 µs. INV is low (invalid data) if all receiver input voltages are between -0.3 V and 0.3 V for more than 30 µs. Refer to Figure 5 for receiver input levels.

Texas InstrumentsSN74ALVCH162841DL from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 20-Bit Bus-Interface D-Type Latch With 3-State Outputs - D-type latches. This 20-bit bus-interface D-type latch is designed for 1.65-V to 3.6-V V CC operation. The SN74ALVCH162841 features 3-state outputs designed specifically for driving highly capacitive or relatively low-impedance loads. This device is particularly suitable for implementing buffer registers, unidirectional bus drivers, and working registers. The SN74ALVCH162841 can be used as two 10-bit latches or one 20-bit latch. The 20 latches are transparent D-type latches. The device has noninverting data (D) inputs and provides true data at its outputs. While the latch-enable (1LE or 2LE) input is high, the Q outputs of the corresponding 10-bit latch follow the D inputs. When LE is taken low, the Q outputs are latched at the levels set up at the D inputs. A buffered output-enable (1OE or 2OE) input can be used to place the outputs of the corresponding 10-bit latch in either a normal logic state (high or low logic levels) or the high-impedance state. In the high-impedance state, the outputs neither load nor drive the bus lines significantly. OE does not affect the internal operation of the latches. Old data can be retained or new data can be entered while the outputs are in the high-impedance state. The outputs, which are designed to sink up to 12 mA, include equivalent 26- resistors to reduce overshoot and undershoot. To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to V CC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver. Active bus-hold circuitry is provided to hold unused or floating inputs at a valid logic level. The SN74ALVCH162841 is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C.

I/O expanders such as the TCA9539 provide a simple solution when additional I/Os are needed for switches, sensors, push-buttons, LEDs, fans, and other similar devices. The features of the TCA9539 include an interrupt that is generated on the INT pin whenever an input port changes state. The A0 and A1 hardware selectable address pins allow up to four TCA9539 devices on the same I 2 C bus. The device can be reset to its default state by cycling the power supply and causing a power-on-reset. Also, the TCA9539 has a hardware RESET pin that can be used to reset the device to its default state.

Texas InstrumentsSN74ALVCH16841DL from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 20-Bit Bus-Interface D-Type Latch With 3-State Outputs - D-type latches. This 20-bit bus-interface D-type latch is designed for 1.65-V to 3.6-V V CC operation. The SN74ALVCH16841 features 3-state outputs designed specifically for driving highly capacitive or relatively low-impedance loads. This device is particularly suitable for implementing buffer registers, unidirectional bus drivers, and working registers. The SN74ALVCH16841 can be used as two 10-bit latches or one 20-bit latch. To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be tied to V CC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver. Active bus-hold circuitry is provided to hold unused or floating data inputs at a valid logic level. The SN74ALVCH16841 is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C.

Texas InstrumentsSN74ABT16652DLR from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 16-Bit Bus Transceivers And Registers With 3-State Outputs - General-purpose transceivers. The 'ABT16652 are 16-bit bus transceivers that consist of D-type flip-flops and control circuitry arranged for multiplexed transmission of data directly from the data bus or from the internal storage registers. These devices can be used as two 8-bit transceivers or one 16-bit transceiver. Output-enable (OEAB and) inputs are provided to control the transceiver functions. Select-control (SAB and SBA) inputs are provided to select whether real-time or stored data is transferred. The circuitry used for select control eliminates the typical decoding glitch that occurs in a multiplexer during the transition between stored and real-time data. A low input selects real-time data, and a high input selects stored data. Figure 1 illustrates the four fundamental bus-management functions that can be performed with the 'ABT16652. Data on the A- or B-data bus, or both, can be stored in the internal D-type flip-flops by low-to-high transitions at the appropriate clock (CLKAB or CLKBA) inputs regardless of the select- or enable-control inputs. When SAB and SBA are in the real-time transfer mode, it is possible to store data without using the internal D-type flip-flops by simultaneously enabling OEAB and. In this configuration, each output reinforces its input. When all other data sources to the two sets of bus lines are at high impedance, each set of bus lines remains at its last state. To ensure the high-impedance state during power up or power down, should be tied to V CC through a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver (B to A). OEAB should be tied to GND through a pulldown resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver (A to B). The SN54ABT16652 is characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The SN74ABT16652 is characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C.

Texas InstrumentsPCA9539DB from Texas Instruments is a Integrated Circuit 16-bit 2.3- to 5.5-V I2C/SMBus I/O expander with interrupt, reset & config registers - I2C & SPI general-purpose I/Os (GPIOs). The system master can reset the PCA9539 in the event of a time-out or other improper operation by asserting a low in the RESET input. The power-on reset puts the registers in their default state and initializes the I 2 C/SMBus state machine. Asserting RESET causes the same reset/initialization to occur without de-powering the part. The PCA9539 open-drain interrupt (INT) output is activated when any input state differs from its corresponding Input Port register state and is used to indicate to the system master that an input state has changed. INT can be connected to the interrupt input of a microcontroller. By sending an interrupt signal on this line, the remote I/O can inform the microcontroller if there is incoming data on its ports without having to communicate via the I 2 C bus. Thus, the PCA9539 can remain a simple slave device. The device outputs (latched) have high-current drive capability for directly driving LEDs. The device has low current consumption. The PCA9539 is identical to the PCA9555, except for the removal of the internal I/O pullup resistor, which greatly reduces power consumption when the I/Os are held low, replacement of A2 with RESET, and a different address range. Two hardware pins (A0 and A1) are used to program and vary the fixed I 2 C address and allow up to four devices to share the same I 2 C bus or SMBus.

This device is fully specified for hot-insertion applications using I off and power-up 3-state. The I off circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down. The power-up 3-state circuitry places the outputs in the high-impedance state during power up and power down, which prevents driver conflict.

These Schottky-clamped TTL MSI circuits are designed to be used in high-performance memory-decoding or data-routing applications requiring very short propagation delay times. In high-performance memory systems, these decoders can be used to minimize the effects of system decoding. When employed with high-speed memories utilizing a fast-enable circuit, the delay times of these decoders and the enable time of the memory are usually less than the typical access time of the memory. This means that the effective system delay introduced by the Schottky-clamped system decoder is negligible. The circuit comprises two individual two-line to four-line decoders in a single package. The active-low enable input can be used as a data line in demultiplexing applications. All of these decoders/demultiplexers feature fully buffered inputs, each of which represents only one normalized load to its driving circuit.
